How do I perform a control solution test?
Step 1: Insert a test strip. The meter will turn on automatically. The full screen will come on for a moment. Make sure all symbols appear on the screen. Then the code number will display. Make sure that the code number on the display matches the code number on the test strip bottle.

Step 2: To enter cotrol solution mode, press the Main Button ONCE for Level 1 or TWICE for Level 2. L1 or L2 will be displayed on the screen. If you do not enter the control solution mode, the control solution result will NOT be valid.

Step 3: Mix control solution by inverting bottle several times. Remove the cap from the control solution bottle. Place cap on flat surface. Squeeze the bottle and discard the first drop. Apply the second drop to the top of the cap.

Step 4: Bring meter and the reaction zone on the side of the test strip to the drop of solution. Test strip will draw up the solution. The meter will show result in 1- seconds. The result will alternately flash with L1 or L2.

Step 5: Compare the result to the range printed on the test strip bottle. Make sure the result is within the acceptable range. If the result falls within this range, the meter and the test strip are working correctly.
