How do I choose the correct gauze pad size?
In order to choose the correct size needed, simply make sure the gauze sponge pad covers the entire wound area. Next, access the amount of blood or fluid coming for the wound to determine to correct ply thickness.
Example - 4-ply should be used on light wounds, while12-ply should be used on a heavier draining wound.
