Can I use other size suction canister bottles on the Schuco S130?
Answer - No, The metal bracket built-in to the Schuco 130 in designed to only hold an 800cc suction canister.
What kind of power does the Schuco 130 use?
Answer - The electrical requirements to run the Schuco 130 is AC 115V, 60Hz and the power consumption is 76 watts.
If the Schuco 130 Vac overheats what will happen?
Answer - The motor on the Schuco S130 has a thermal overload protector. This overload protector will shut the compressor off if the motor overheats. When this does occur, first turn compressor to off position and let the motor cool, wait 5 minutes and try to restart. If the machine doesn't start, turn off and let the motor sit for an additional 10 minutes.
Do I have to change any filters on the Schuco 130 Pump Machine?
Answer - Yes, The external anti-bacteria filter should be replaced every two months. It the overflow occurs, change immediately. First make sure the machine is unplugged and in the off position. Next simply disconnect the filter from the tubing and collection canister assembly. Filters can be purchased from Mountainside Medical Equipment will ship immediately.

What are the signs that a patient need to be suctioned?
A blue color is seen around the lips and mouth. This may be a sigh that he/ she are not receiving enough oxygen and the airways needs to be cleaned. The airflow in and out of the airway is reduced. The patient appears fussy and fidgety. He/ she are using the muscles of the chest and neck to help facilitate breathing. The nostrils on their nose flare out when they breathe in. You can hear bubbling or noisy breathing.
