Why is changing your oxygen concentrator filters so important?

When a person is required to be on prescribed oxygen that usually means they have some type of respiratory problem. There respiratory condition sometimes calls for pure therapeutic oxygen. Oxygen concentrator retrieves regular room oxygen and turns it into 87 to 96% pure oxygen. Concentrator filters catch any air room particles like dust and dander and prevent the particles from entering the oxygen concentrator. The filters catch the dust and other particles and start to build up and affect the quality and purity of the prescribed that is produced.

Note - Invacare recommends that the concentrator filters should be changed every six months to ensure the best flow of oxygen is delivered to the patient.
