Sodium Bicarbonate for Injection is a sterile, single-dose hypertonic solution in water for injection. No bacteriostatic, antimicrobial or other added buffers. Sodium bicarbonate 84 mg is equal to one milliequivalent each Na+ and HCo3 and is chemically designated NaHCO3, a white crystalline powder soluble in water. Sold by the 50ml glass vial.
