The Mabis Sports Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor is an automatic wrist monitor used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). The Healthsmart sports monitor is a black and green color nylon wrist cuff and a large LCD digital screen. The display screen shows the pulse rate per minute, irregular heartbeat detection icon and the "WHO" indicator icon. The "WHO" indicator is located on the left side of the LCD screen, will identify your reading within a range in accordance with guidelines set by the world health organization (WHO). The Sports wrist digital blood pressure monitor has a 2 user memory storage that stores 120 readings. Calculates the last three readings to give you a more accurate actual readout. Date and time stamp and runs on 2 "AAA" batteries. Carrying case and batteries included.

How it Works:
The method of measurement that this automatic blood pressure monitor uses is called the oscillometric method. This monitor detects your blood's movement through the artery in your wrist and converts the movements into a digital reading. The need for other heart monitoring instruments, such as a stethoscope or pulse oximeter is not required.
For Optimal Results:
Avoid smoking, eating, taking medication, drinking alcohol or physical activity 30 minutes before taking a reading. Rest 15 minutes prior to taking a blood pressure reading.
Remove any jewelry or constrictive clothing that may interfere with the cuff placement.
You should be sitting in a comfortable seat with your feet flat on the floor.
Use your left arm. Place your left arm straight in front of you with your palm facing upwards.
