Instructions for Use:

**Please note: These instructions are not intended to substitute the usage instructions accompanying this unit. For best results please follow all instructions located within the product manual. **


Auto Tare Function:

  1. Make sure there isn’t anything on the scale

  2. Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF button once

  3. Wait until the display screen reads “0.0” LBS or “0.0” KG

  4. Place the wheelchair on the scale and wait for the weight to be displayed

  5. Press the TARE button to zero out the scale. The word “TARE” will appear on the display

  6. Remove the wheelchair from the scale (the display will show the negative weight of the object)

  7. Place the patient and the wheelchair on the scale together (tare weight of the object will automatically be deducted from the total weight of the patient and the wheelchair)

  8. Patient’s actual weight will appear on the display screen


Semi-Manual Tear Function:

  1. Make sure there isn’t anything on the scale

  2. Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF button once

  3. Wait until the display screen reads “0.0” LBS or “0.0” KG

  4. Press and hold down the TARE button for 3 to 5 seconds (the word “TARE” will appear at the bottom of the display and the user will be prompted to enter a tare value)

  5. Use the ►and ▲buttons on the keypad to enter the weight of the wheelchair and then press the ENTER button (the value entered will be displayed as a negative value)

  6. Place the patient and the wheelchair on the scale together (the tare weight of the wheelchair will automatically be deducted from the total weight of the patient and the wheelchair)

  7. Patient’s actual weight will appear on the display screen


Weighing a Patient:

  1. Make sure there isn’t anything on the scale

  2. Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF button once

  3. Wait until the display screen reads “0.0” LBS or “0.0” KG

  4. Tare-out the weight of the wheelchair (by following the steps listed above)

  5.  Wheel the patient (in the wheelchair) onto the scale (the patient’s weight will automatically be displayed on the LCD screen)

  6. Once a weight has been displayed, it is highly recommended that a second weighing be performed by pressing the REWEIGH button

  7. Once the weight measurement has been recorded, carefully wheel the patient off the scale

  8. Press the ON/OFF button once to turn the scale off
