Smith & Nephew™: Allevyn Island DressingAllevyn Island by Smith & Nephew is an absorbent, non-stick hydrocellular foam dressing with a breathable adhesive boarder to safely seal the wound from bacteria, while the middle hydrocellular foam pad treats and absorbs exudate from the wound. Allevyn Island dressing is ideal for pressure ulcers and other moderate to high levels of exudate (wound fluid) and the management of partial to full thickness wounds. Allevyn Island dressing can be left in place for up to 4 days, depending on the level of exudate. Allevyn Adhesive dressings are soft and cushioning, giving excellent patient comfort! Some typical wounds are: Ulcers (venous, arterial, diabetic) -Pressure Sores -Donor Sites -Surgical Incisions -Surgical Excisions -Burns (1st and 2nd degree) -Creation and maintenance of a moist wound environment.
