September 11 2001 - Never Forget

On September 11, 2001, America’s world came crashing down when she faced the largest terrorist attack the country has ever seen. Spanned across the eastern seaboard, the attacks targeted well-known facets of everyday U.S. life – the NYC Twin Towers, and the Pentagon. The chaos and fear of that day was felt all across the nation, and into other countries, as deep mourning echoed throughout the world.

The numbers of this tragedy are astounding. As the commemorative 9/11 memorial website shows, us, 441 first responders paid the ultimate price for the safety of thousands of others. Even with the quick response from emergency personnel through police departments, fire departments, and the like, thousands of civilians also lost their lives during this tragedy. Today, however, the battle is not over for many.

Currently, members of the NYPD, NYFD, and Port Authority continue to sacrifice as the lasting effects of the deadly, toxic dust from the towers continues to plague their health, and take many lives.  Additionally, many selfless civilians also paid the ultimate price to provide safety for others. As a result, many of those who survived are suffering the health effects of that day, as well. In the tremendous chaos of 9/11 – through the technical issues, miscommunication, and the shear intensity of the situation - these men and women saved thousands of lives.

The tragedy of the situation was - and still is - felt throughout the Nation. As a veteran-owned business, Mountainside Medical Equipment is especially aware of the sacrifice our service men and women make for this country today and in years past. In commemoration of the 9/11 tragedy, we would like to extend our sincerest sympathies to the families of those heroes who have passed and those who are still with us. Today, and everyday, we thank them for protecting our safety, our health, and our freedom. September 11, 2001 – we will never forget.
