6 Must Have Items To Have on Hand While Traveling

Travel is quickly becoming a large part of people's lives. Whether they travel for work or vacation, one thing is for certain: the travel industry sure isn't slowing down! Whether you're constantly on the go, or the occasional traveler, there are a few items that you should always make sure to carry with you!

6 Must Have Items to Travel With

1. A Travel-Sized First Aid Kit

It doesn't matter if you're on a plane, train, or automobile, if you're traveling anywhere you should always carry a first aid kit with you. It doesn't have to be large, in fact, here at Mountainside Medical Equipment, we sell a variety of travel sized first aid kits that contain all of the necessary equipment that you would need in case of injury.

2. Motion Sickness Medicine

Traveling can be a little hectic as it is, adding motion sickness to the mix does anything but help. Unfortunately, motion sickness is a common problem among people of all ages. Just incase you or your children feel a little queasy, always keep some Bonine or Dramamine on hand!

3. Cold & Flu Medicine & Allergy Medication

Being sick or getting sick while you're traveling is quite unpleasant. Don't get caught without the necessary medication if those pesky germs decide to invade your trip! Avoiding germs while traveling can be tough, but there are some ways to protect yourself and prevent unnecessary illness! See: How to Avoid Germs While TravelingAlso, remember to take any allergy medication with you. Depending on the time of year that you're traveling, and the destination that you're traveling to, it's a good idea to be prepared for an allergy flare up!

4. Hand Sanitizer

Speaking of germs, keep them at bay as much as possible with travel sized hand sanitizer! We know that soap and water are the best method of keeping your hands clean, but when or if they aren't readily available, hand sanitizer will work in a pinch. Be sure to carry sanitizing gel with at least 60% alcohol in it and rub the hand sanitizer all over your hands until they are dry.

5. Surface Disinfecting Wipes

Keeping on the subject of germs, don't forget to bring some disinfecting wipes with you! You can (and should) use them to wipe down surfaces on an airplane or even in a hotel room, as both can be breeding grounds for many viruses.

6. Pain Relievers

Pain relief products, such as Tylenol or Advil are not only great to carry to relieve pain, but they are great fever reducers too!

Please consult your doctor or other qualified health care professional before taking any medication, supplements, or beginning a health regimen.
