Cardiac Rehabilitation Week - February 9 - 15, 2020

The Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals members inspired the theme for this year's Cardiac Rehabilitation, or Cardiovascular Professionals Week 2020: "Wholehearted Professionals, Wholehearted Care."

This week celebrates the contribution that cardiovascular professionals make to the health care industry, and the role of reducing potentially devastating effects of heart disease. The theme of wholehearted professionals, wholehearted care, emphasizes the dedication to safe and quality care exhibited by cardiovascular professionals around the United States who touch so many lives each day.

Cardiovascular Professionals Week as sponsored by the ACVP is the official, national week of recognition for non-physician professionals working in cardiac care across all specialties. Delivering quality care isn't just about doctors and pharmacists. Today, patients rely on a diverse team of professionals of different educational and cultural backgrounds - managers, nurses, technologists, technicians, care coordinators, rehab specialists - all working together to provide the best possible care.

Cardiac care is the heart of innovation, where change happens fast. Nowhere else in health care does care change so quickly, and nowhere else does the best care, best way target move so fast. It seems like cardiovascular professionals learn something new every day. These professionals are always learning because they truly care about providing the best possible cardiac services.

To be honest, these professionals deserve more than one week. The Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals works all year to support cardiovascular professionals in every specialty. They want everyone to celebrate these great professionals and their teamwork, real quality care, and real successes.

Making time to give these professionals a week is so important. Even a small, but wholehearted tribute to these hard-working, deeply caring individuals during CVP Week could make a big difference in their lives. CVP week is a chance to build relationships between professions, improve teamwork, and recognize everyone's important role on the team. A little recognition can go a long way, and even lead to a happier, more dynamic, more connected workplace.

Support these wholehearted professionals by standing up for team work. CVP Week is also an opportunity for meaningful advocacy - making a real difference for professionals by educating legislators, employers, doctors, and everyone about what makes all cardiovascular professionals so qualified to provide excellent, team-based patient care - such as, what nurses, radiologic technologists, and cardiovascular technologists all bring to the table.
