It is used for infiltration, nerve block, and regional anesthesia. The onset of action is rapid, and the duration of action is long.

Pfizer Injectables Bupivacaine Hydrochloride for Injection 0.50% strength 10mL Vials is indicated in adults for the production of local or regional anesthesia or analgesia for surgery, dental and oral surgery procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and for obstetrical procedures.

What Is Bupivacaine Hydrochloride?

Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection is an anesthetic (numbing medicine) used as a local (in one area) anesthetic for a spinal block. Marcaine is available in generic form.

Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection/Bupivacaine Hydrochloride and Epinephrine Injection is indicated in adults for the production of local or regional anesthesia or analgesia for surgery, dental and oral surgery procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and for obstetrical procedures. For each type of block indicated to produce local or regional anesthesia or analgesia, specific concentrations and presentations are recommended.
