Sotradecol (Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate) 1% Injection is a prescription medication used to treat small varicose veins and spider veins. It is a sclerosing agent, meaning it causes damage to the blood vessel walls, causing them to stick together and eventually scar over. This helps to reduce the appearance of varicose veins and improve blood flow in affected areas. It is only used under the supervision and guidance of a healthcare professional.

Sotradecol (Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate) for Injection is a prescription medication used to treat small uncomplicated varicose veins. It is given as an injection into the vein. It works by causing the vein to collapse and disappear.
Sotradecol (sodium tetradecyl sulfate injection) is indicated in the treatment of small uncomplicated varicose veins of the lower extremities that show simple dilation with competent valves. The benefit-to-risk ratio should be considered in selected patients who are great surgical risks.

Sotradecol (Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate) for Injection is a prescription medication that is used to treat conditions that are caused by blood clots. This medication is a type of blood thinner that helps to break up blood clots and keep them from forming.

Direction on how to use Sotradecol (Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate) for Injection:

1. Preparing for injection: Before using Sotradecol, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Make sure the area being injected is clean and dry.
2. Withdraw the solution: Remove the vial cap and wipe the septum with an alcohol swab. Using a syringe, draw the required amount of solution into the syringe. The recommended dose for adults is 0.5 to 2 mL of Sotradecol.
3. Check for air bubbles: Tap the syringe gently to remove any air bubbles that may be present. Hold the syringe with the needle pointing upwards and push the plunger to remove any remaining air bubbles.
4. Prepare the injection site: Choose a suitable injection site, usually on the affected vein. Clean the area with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
5. Injecting the solution: Hold the syringe with the needle facing upwards to prevent any solution from leaking out. Slowly inject the solution into the affected vein. Use steady, even pressure on the plunger to ensure the solution is injected evenly.
6. Apply pressure: After the injection, apply gentle pressure to the injection site for a few minutes to prevent bruising.
7. Dispose of the syringe and vial: Dispose of the syringe and vial in a suitable sharps container as per your local waste disposal guidelines.
8. Post-injection care: After the injection, avoid strenuous exercise or lifting heavy objects for at least 48 hours. Keep your legs elevated as much as possible to help with circulation.
9. Follow-up treatments: Depending on your condition, you may need multiple injections of Sotradecol. These should be done at regular intervals as recommended by your doctor.
10. Precautions: Before using Sotradecol, inform your doctor if you have any allergies, medical conditions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The use of this medication may cause some side effects such as pain or discomfort at the injection site, bruising, or mild allergic reactions. Contact your doctor if you experience any severe or persistent side effects.

Important note: Sotradecol injections should only be administered by a trained healthcare professional. Do not attempt to inject yourself or others.
