Quelsicin (succinylcholine chloride injection) is a medication that is injected into the body to help relax the muscles. It is a type of medication called a skeletal muscle relaxant. When quelsicin is injected, it causes a short-term paralysis of the muscles. This allows for examinations or surgery to be performed without causing any pain or discomfort to the patient. Quelsicin is used to relax the muscles in the airway so that a breathing tube can be inserted, or to relax the muscles in the stomach so that a scope can be inserted to look at the inside of the stomach. Quelsicin is also used to help with childbirth by relaxing the muscles in the uterus.

Quelicin (succinylcholine chloride injection 20mg/mL multi-dose vial) is a short-acting neuromuscular blocking agent used to produce skeletal muscle relaxation during surgical procedures. It is also used to facilitate tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit. Quelicin is administered by intravenous injection, and onset of relaxation occurs within 60 seconds. The drug is metabolized in the liver, and its duration of action ranges from 2 to 5 minutes. Adverse effects associated with Quelicin use include muscle fasciculations, increased heart rate, and transient apnea.
