On August 12, 2011, Martin Zarnock Jr., Vice President of Mountainside Medical Equipment, participated in the Oneida County Police Benevolent Association's golf tournament on behalf of the company. This charity event was held at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Whitesboro, NY, and was organized to benefit the family of the late Deputy Kurt Wyman, who died in the line of duty this past June.
It was a beautiful day for the event and as many other local businesses did, Mountainside Medical Equipment sponsored a hole on the golf course. There was a great turn out and all of the proceeds went to benefit the Wyman family.
Deputy Kurt Wyman was a local officer who served 7 months in Iraq prior to becoming an Oneida County Deputy Sheriff. Wyman was an exceptional officer who had won several awards including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He was survived by his wife (pregnant at the time) and 18 month old son. For more information about Deputy Wyman, visit the Oneida County Sheriffs website.
If you would like to donate to the Wyman family, contact the Oneida County Police Benevolent Association. Following Deputy Wyman's death, the PBA set up a special fund for the family. Checks can be sent to PO Box 376, Westmoreland, NY 13490. “Family” or “Children” should be written in the memo line on the check.
