Microcannulas

Microcannulas are medical devices used in a variety of applications in the medical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. They consist of a thin stainless steel tube with a blunt-tipped end. Microcannulas provide a relatively atraumatic approach to delivering fluids, drugs, and other materials into small tissues. In medicine, microcannulas can be used for minimally invasive procedures, eliminating the need for large scalpels and incisions. In the cosmetic industry, microcannulas are used to inject products such as Botox and fillers into target skin areas for wrinkles, shape modifications or skin restoration. Microcannulas are commonly used in face contouring to create no-downtime facial sculpting treatments. With microcannulas, the healing time is often greatly decreased due their ability to limit trauma to the injection area as compared to needles that can cause excess tissue swelling and bruising. Microcannulas are also helpful in avoiding nerve damage that can occur with needles. These attributes give microcannulas an advantage over needles as a preferred choice for numerous medical and cosmetics applications.
