Ringworm is not an actual worm under your skin, it's a fungas that grows on the skin. Ringworm, (tinea corporis) is a fungal infection occurring on the top layer of the skin that is often characterized as red circular patches. Ringworm has a tendency to cause itchy irritations and is most commonly spread through direct skin-to-skin contact.
