Flu Season is Strongest in February
Posted on January 31 2017
Even though the flu can be active year round, it circulates the most in the winter and fall months. In an article by the CDC, it states that flu activity peaks between December and February; with February being the peak month. Even though receiving a flu shot will help prevent the flu from becoming active in your body, it does not guarantee that you will not catch the flu. There are many precautionary steps you can take to help combat influenza-related illnesses.
Here are five methods we recommend:
- Disinfect your living and work space
- Use hand sanitizer moderately
- Drink Vitamin C products
- Consume tea with organic local honey
- Boost your immune system with green tea extract
If you do catch the flu, be mindful of who you come in contact with. Elderly individuals and children are more prone to a more severe case of the flu. Try your best to stay inside, heal yourself, and fight the flu as much as possible!
