Nylon Sutures

Nylon sutures, also known as polyamide sutures, are synthetic, non-absorbable surgical threads used in various medical procedures for suturing or stitching wounds and incisions. They are commonly used in skin closure because of their strength and low tissue reactivity. Nylon sutures are also used in tying and securing blood vessels, ligaments, and tendons during surgeries such as orthopedic, cardiovascular, and plastic surgeries. They can be removed once the wound has healed, or they can be left in the body permanently if tissue ingrowth occurs.
