Novolin® 70/30 Human Insulin for Injection (rDNA Origin) 100-U Multiple-Dose Vial 10 mL is an injectable medicine used to lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. It is a combination, suspension (mix) of two Intermediate-Acting Insulins, insulin Regular (known as IinSA Plus® or Humulin® 2X ) and Insulin NPH (protamine-induced aspercentic crystal suspension). It is used in the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This medication helps to control blood sugar levels, and lowers A1c and triglycerides levels, as part of an overall program for diabetes management which may also include proper diet, weight control and physical activity. For use in adults and pediatric patients, it should be injected before meals in a multiple-dose regimen, mixed with an appropriately disposable insulin syiempen. This medication is available as 10mL vials with 100U per mL.
