Amphotericin B is an antifungal used to treat fungal infections in neutropenic patients, cryptococcal meningitis in HIV infection, fungal infections, and leishmaniasis.

Sun Pharmaceutical Amphotericin B Liposome is an antifungal medication used for the treatment of serious fungal infections. It is a single-dose vial containing 50 mg of the medication. Amphotericin B Liposome works by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, killing the fungus and stopping its growth. It is typically only used for severe or life-threatening infections, and is administered intravenously by a healthcare professional. It may have potential side effects, such as fever, chills, nausea, and kidney damage, so it should only be used under medical supervision.

Amphotericin B Liposome is an injectable medication used to treat fungal infections. It is provided in single-dose vials containing 50 mg of the medication.

1. Preparation:
Before using Amphotericin B Liposome, make sure to read the instructions provided by your doctor or on the packaging. Check the vial for any signs of damage and do not use if it is cracked or broken. Wash your hands thoroughly to prevent any contamination.

2. Reconstitution:
Amphotericin B Liposome vials contain lyophilized powder, which needs to be reconstituted before administration. Take a 10 mL sterile water for injection (SWFI) vial and remove the protective plastic cap. With a sterile needle and syringe, inject the SWFI into the Amphotericin B Liposome vial, slowly and with a swirling motion, until the powder is completely dissolved. The solution will appear cloudy and yellow. Do not shake the vial.

3. Withdrawal:
Once the solution is reconstituted, withdraw it into a syringe. Be sure to use a sterile syringe and needle to prevent any contamination.

4. Administration:
Amphotericin B Liposome is typically given as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic setting. However, if directed by your doctor, you may be able to administer the medication yourself at home. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Before injecting the medication, make sure the injection site is clean and dry. Insert the needle into a large vein and slowly inject the medication over a period of 2-6 hours. Do not inject the medication all at once as it can lead to serious side effects.

5. Disposal:
Dispose of any unused portion of the medication, syringes, and needles properly according to your healthcare provider's instructions.

Make sure to complete the prescribed course of treatment, even if you start feeling better. Stopping the medication too soon may allow the infection to return or worsen. If you have any questions or concerns about using Amphotericin B Liposome, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
