Aminophylline is a medication used primarily as a bronchodilator to treat symptoms of asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways, thereby increasing airflow to the lungs.
