Sincalide for Injection 5mcg/mcg is an FDA-approved synthetic version of cholecystokinin, a naturally-occurring gastrointestinal hormone known for its role in digestion and absorption. The medication is indicated for use as a gastrointestinal checkpoint - prior to performing such bariatric and diagnostic gastrointestinal procedures such as ERCP, MRCP and cholangiography.
