6. Connect the Y-injection port to the administration set and to the IV bag.
7. Set the roller clamp of the set to the recommended flow rate of the solution.
8. Squeeze  the IV bag slowly until the solution is transferred to the administration set and allow the IV solution to flow naturally.
9. After finishing the task, disconnect the administration set from the IV solution.
10. Thoroughly clean the equipment and secure the IV tubing before disposing of the site properly in the proper waste container.
