Trastuzumab

Trastuzumab, also known by the brand name Herceptin, is a medication used to treat breast cancer that is HER2-positive. This type of breast cancer has too much of a protein called HER2, which causes the cancer cells to grow and divide uncontrollably. Trastuzumab works by targeting this protein and slowing down or stopping the growth of cancer cells. It may be used alone or in combination with other chemotherapy drugs.
