What is Recaldent?

Recaldent, contained in MI Paste and MI Paste Plus, is a milk protein derivative that bonds with tooth surfaces in order to ensure a delicate balance of Calcium and Phosphate that is essential to healthy, strong teeth and oral tissue. Recaldent chemically adheres to teeth re-mineralizing and desensitizing to provide lasting comfort while rebuilding enamel, which is integral to preventing damage and decay. MI Paste and MI Paste Plus are actually the first professional products to showcase Recaldent Technology.

What is Recaldent for?

Recaldent is a compound consisting of two naturally occurring chemicals that bind to dentinal tubules (pores) and ensuring adhesion of Calcium and Phosphate to the tooth - the main ingredients of a healthy smile. The coupling of Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP) and Casein Phosphopeptide (CPP) reduces sensitivity while binding to porous teeth stimulates natural saliva production, and helps rebuild enamel thereby reducing the occurrences of caries (the bacteria that causes cavities) and white spot lesions. Recaldent is proven to be an effective treatment providing up to 3 hours of protection, strengthening, and dry mouth relief with each use.

What will Recaldent do for me?

The Recaldent found in MI Paste and MI Paste Plus is formulated to restore the oral pH balance, sooth sensitivity, combat dry mouth, and aid in rebuilding precious enamel. If teeth have become eroded due to acids, diet, whitening, medical conditions, or for any other reason, Recaldent will help balance the oral environment and rebuild a healthy smile.

Is Recaldent Safe?

Recaldent has been proven safe for all individuals, even if lactose intolerant, except for persons with a milk protein allergy. In the late 1980's, Dr. Eric Reynolds developed Recaldent and since that time over 140 studies have been done validating its safety and effectiveness. Recaldent has even been shown safe for infants and the chronically ill.

Where can I get Recaldent?

MI Paste and MI Paste Plus are the first professional products that contain Recaldent and they are readily available to you. Both of these products can be used as often as desired and have yielded no adverse side effects. Dental experts recommend using MI Paste or MI Paste Plus in the morning and evening after brushing, and at any other you’re you feel is necessary throughout the day.

Is Recaldent hard to use?

The application of MI Paste and MI Paste Plus requires only a pea sized amount placed on the finger, a swab, or dental tray. Left undisturbed for 3-5 minutes, Recaldent starts working immediately providing a comfortable, balanced, healthy oral environment.
