Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream 0.5% is used to help relieve redness, itching, swelling, or other discomforts caused by certain skin conditions. Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream is a glucocorticoid steroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive abilities. It is applied as a topical cream, ointment, lotion or gel (Diprolene) to treat itching and other minor skin conditions such as eczema.
This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Betamethasone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions.
