GeneXpert Clostridium Difficile/Epidemic 027 Reagent Test 10/Box

Xpert C. difficile/Epi is a CLIA-waived test and is available for use with the Xpert® MTB/RIF assay. Xpert® C. difficile/Epi is a 45-minute detection & differentiation of Clostridium difficile & the Epidemic 027 strain.

Xpert C. difficile/Epi is a real-time PCR assay for the detection of C. difficile toxin A and B in stool specimens. The assay is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of C. difficile infection.
The epidemic strain of Clostridium difficile (027/NAP1/BI) is known to produce a significantly higher number of C. difficile spores and toxins.
