The BD 368659 Vacutainer Push Button Blood Collection Sets 25 Gauge x 3/4" with 12" Tubing is a device used to collect blood. The set consists of a needle attached to a length of tubing. The tubing is inserted into a vein, and the blood is drawn into the tubing by pushing on a button. The set is then removed from the vein and the blood is deposited into a collection container.

The Vacutainer Push Button Blood Collection Set was created to prevent needlestick injuries amongst healthcare workers. This system is the only blood collection device with push button technology. It is available with a preattached holder for added convenience and to help meet the Occupational Health and Safety Administration's (OSHA) single-use standards.

The push button technology provides immediate protection with the push of a button. The system is not hard to use with minimal training, increasing compliance. The activation does not cause any extra pain to the patient, it is ideal for high-risk environments.

The needle features in vein retraction, which reduces the risk of healthcare workers from being exposed to a contaminated needle. When the needle is placed correctly into the vein a flash visualization is seen to confirm access.
