MI Paste® ONE Kids (Bubblegum Flavor)
Description: MI Paste ONE Kids (bubblegum) is a children’s anticavity toothpaste by GC America. It is a “two-in-one” formula – combining fluoride with Recaldent® (CPP-ACP, a milk‐derived calcium-phosphate complex). Specifically, its active ingredient is sodium fluoride 0.24% (w/w) for anti-cavity effect, while the CPP-ACP delivers bioavailable calcium and phosphate to teeth. In practice, MI Paste ONE Kids (Bubblegum) works like a normal toothpaste but also helps rebuild enamel and prevent decay. The bubblegum flavor and colorful packaging are designed to appeal to young children.
Uses: This toothpaste is indicated for preventive dental care in children. Its key functions are to prevent cavities and strengthen enamel. According to the official labeling, MI Paste ONE Kids “aids in the prevention of dental cavities”. It is essentially an anti-cavity toothpaste that provides fluoride plus calcium and phosphate to teeth. Dentists often recommend it for children at risk of decay, white-spot lesions (early enamel demineralization), or tooth sensitivity. How to use (Directions): Use MI Paste ONE Kids just like a regular toothpaste, but with a pea-sized amount. For children 2 years and older (and adults), the directions are:
- Apply a small pea-size amount of paste to a toothbrush. Brush all tooth surfaces for about 2 minutes.
- Spit out the paste. Do not rinse or eat/drink for 30 minutes after brushing – this allows the fluoride and minerals to remain on the teeth longer.
- Brush twice daily (morning and night). Replace the cap tightly after use to keep it fresh.
For children under 2 years old, consult a dentist or pediatrician before use.. Supervise young children (<6 years) during brushing to ensure they spit out the paste (to minimize swallowing fluoride). This product is not meant for unsupervised use by very young children.

Allergy: Do not use this product in children who have a known allergy to milk proteins, casein, or parabens (the CPP-ACP complex is milk-derived and the formula contains hydroxybenzoate preservatives). The label warns: “Do not use on patients with a milk protein or hydroxybenzoates allergy” . Signs of an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing) require immediate discontinuation and medical attention.

Young Children: Keep out of reach of children under 6. If a child swallows more than the pea-sized brushing amount (especially under age 6), get medical help or contact Poison Control immediately .

Use in Pregnancy/Nursing: This is a topical dental product (minimal ingestion), so it is generally considered safe in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Still, discuss any dental treatments with your doctor.

Side Effects: Side effects are rare. Possible mild effects include temporary mouth or gum irritation. The most important risk is allergy (as noted above). In very rare cases, swallowing large amounts could cause stomach upset due to fluoride. If you notice any unusual symptoms or if dental problems worsen despite use, stop the product and consult a dentist.
Storage: Store at room temperature with the cap closed. Do not freeze. The tube typically contains 35 mL of paste.
