Enteral Feeding Supplies

Enternal Nutrition is used to deliver nutrients to the GI tract using a tube. The upper GI tract is bypassed, and pureed food or a special liquid enteral formula is delivered directly into the stomach (gastric gavage), duodenenum, or jejunum. It can be administered on an intermittent schedule or a continuous, slow infusion. Enteral nutrition is preferred over parenteral because of the reduced risk for infection.
