How to Order:
Amvisc Viscoelastic 1.2% Sodium Hyaluronate Ophthalmic Viscosurgical Device is a sterile solution used during cataract surgery and other ophthalmic procedures to maintain space in the eye and protect the cornea. It is composed of 1.2% sodium hyaluronate, a naturally occurring substance that helps to lubricate and protect the eye. The high molecular weight of the sodium hyaluronate in Amvisc Viscoelastic gives it a high viscosity, allowing it to remain in the eye for a longer period of time compared to other ophthalmic viscosurgical devices. This viscosity helps to protect delicate structures within the eye, such as the cornea and iris, from damage during the surgical procedure. After the procedure, Amvisc Viscoelastic is easily removed from the eye through aspiration.
