Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% oral paste is a corticosteroid indicated for the relief of the signs and symptoms of oral mucositis. Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% oral paste is a white to off-white, homogeneous paste. It contains triamcinolone acetonide, acacia, carnauba wax, cetyl alcohol, citric acid, corn oil, glycerin, methylparaben, propylparaben, purified water, and sorbitan monooleate. Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid that exhibits potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activities. The mechanism of action of corticosteroids, including triamcinolone acetonide, is unknown, but may be related to the inhibition of phospholipase A2. Rising Pharmaceuticals Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Dental Paste is used to treat painful lesions in the mouth. Triamcinolone is commonly used in various conditions and is available in oral, nasal, injectable, topical, ophthalmic injection, and spray preparations.

Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Dental Paste is a corticosteroid. It is used to reduce swelling and ulcers in the mouth. It helps treat and relieve mouth sores that are not caused by herpes.

Do not apply this medication in the eyes or on the skin. It is to be used only inside the mouth. Dab or press (do not rub) a small amount of paste onto the area to be treated until the paste sticks and a smooth, slippery film develops. A cotton swab may be used to apply the paste.
