It contains triamcinolone acetonide, acacia, carnauba wax, cetyl alcohol, citric acid, corn oil, glycerin, methylparaben, propylparaben, purified water, and sorbitan monooleate. Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid that exhibits potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activities. The mechanism of action of corticosteroids, including triamcinolone acetonide, is unknown, but may be related to the inhibition of phospholipase A2.
