Description
The I-gel Supraglottic Airway is a recently introduced airway device that is made of silicone. It is designed to be inserted into the mouth and glide over the tongue to the supraglottic area. The I-gel is then inflated with a syringe to form a seal and prevent air leakage. The I-gel is available in infant and pediatric sizes.

  • Buccal cavity stabilizer: Aids insertion and eliminates the potential for rotation
  • Epiglottic rest: Reduces the possibility of epiglottic ‘down folding’ and airway obstruction
  • The non-inflatable cuff: Made from a unique soft gel-like material allowing ease of insertion and reduced trauma
