Curasorb Calcium Alginate Dressings for advanced wound care have a high calcium content that is released into the wound bed while removing sodium. This action prepares the wound for epithelization and help maintain a moist healing environment.

Features:

  • Maximum absorption
  • Wicks fluid away from wound
  • Provides quick hemostasis
  • Minimizes tissue damage and trauma
  • Contains fibers rich in guluronic acid for increased absorption
  • Absorbs 20 times its weight

Can be used on:

  • Wounds with moderate to large exudate
  • Pressure Ulcers (Stages 2,3 and 4)
  • Tunneling Wounds
  • Infected and Non Infected Wounds
  • Full-Thickness Wounds
  • Red and Yellow Wounds

 

Contraindications:

Not for use on wounds with dry eschar or minimal exudate.

 

Application:

Apply the dressing dry and cover with a secondary dressing.

 

Removal:

Remove when strike through to the secondary dressing occurs.
