Smith & Nephew Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Gel 10 gram tube is a premium skin dressing used to treat and heal wounds such as ulcers, skin grafts and donor sites, cuts and burns. Unlike traditional dressings, this product utilizes Cadexomer, which reserves and sustained releases iodine into the wound environment. It has been specifically designed to absorb and hold up to 12 times its own weight in wound exudate, protecting the base of the wound from maceration, as well as create a moist wound over a prolonged period of72 hours. This in turn promotes a healing environment. The dressing’s product variants comes in a 10 grams, 30 gram, 50 grams tailor-made for wounds that require ultra-low or low, medium or high levels of exudate absorption. Additionally, the gel-form model provides flexible wound filling, stabilization and conformability. These qualities together provide the optimal physical form for haring on bony exposed surfaces with ease. Smith & Nephew Iodosorb is considered to be a first class medical product and incredibly effective for any variety of skin damage.
