Calmoseptine Ointment is an multipurpose, zinc oxide-based moisture barrier skin cream used to used to relieve bed sores, skin irritation, and help improve healing. Calmoseptine protects, soothes and helps heal irritated skin. Calmoseptine is made with 0.44% menthol for external analgesic anti-itch relief and 20.6% zinc oxide that creates a moisture barrier layer that protects the skin and repels urinary incontinence and perspiration.
Directions: Cleanse skin gently with mild skin cleaner. Pat dry or allow to air dry. Apply a thin layer of Calmoseptine Ointment to reddened or irritated skin 2 to 4 times daily, or after each incontinent episode or diaper change to promote comfort and long lasting protection.
Active Ingredients: Menthol (0.44%) which acts as a External Analgesic, first aid antiseptic and Zinc Oxide (20.625%) which acts as a Skin Protectant and moisture barrier.
Inactive Ingredients: Calamine, Chlorothymol, Glycerin, Lanolin, Phenol, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Thymol.
Side Effects: Side effects from Calmoseptine ointment can include light burning from the 0.44% menthol ingredient. Allergic reactions to the ingredients can cause swelling in the mouth and throat or a breakout in hives. Speak with your doctor before using.
