Excilon AMD Drain Sponges 4 x 4 are an antimicrobial gauze (PHMB treated) made to reduce the bacterial microorganisms around tracheostomy tubes, catheters or any type of surgical inserted tube were drainage can occur.

 

Excilon AMD Drain Sponge 4 x 4 Features:

  • Proven effective against gram positive and gram negative microorganisms including MRSA and VRE
  • PHMB (polyhexamethylene Biguande) impregnated gauze pads (antimicrobial)
  • 2 gauze pads per individual pack
  • 50 per tray

 

Excilon AMD sponges resist bacterial colonization, reduce bacterial penetration, limit cross-contamination and maintain balance of the native skin flora. Made with PHMB, a safe antimicrobial agent that is commonly found in eye contact solution and household cleaners, these drainage sponges help prevent infections from growing and spreading in the dressing which limits cross-contamination, and keeps your patient safe and infection-free without hindering the healing process.
