Silvadene Cream 1% is a topical cream that is used to treat and prevent skin infections. The cream contains an antibiotic called silver sulfadiazine, which helps to kill bacteria and fungus. Silvadene Cream 1% is available by prescription only, and is most commonly used to treat burns. The cream helps to keep the wound clean and free of infection, and can also reduce the risk of scarring.

Silvadene Cream 1 % (silver sulfadiazine) is a soft, white cream that contains antimicrobial agents from an active ingredient called Silver Sulfadiazine. Each gram of Silvadene Cream 1% contains 10 mg of micronized silver sulfadiazine. Silver sulfadiazine ingredient is very effective in killing gram positive and gram negative bacteria on the skin, greatly reducing the risk of infection.
